It’s not like you,
Or it’s unlike me.
I can’t stay here,
I’m unable to flee.
I’ll keep you safe,
Unless you don’t trust me.
I’m not strong enough,
Until you disagree.
It’s not like me
Or is it unlike you?
I thought I understood,
I really thought I knew.

I say it isn’t fair,
It changes nothing.

Unrequited
Isn’t it funny, isn’t it sad?
How you think and you speak,
Yet you can’t get it out.
You thought that you knew,
But you can’t work it out.
And it all got twisted,
And you’re shrouded in doubt.
It sinks into your bones,
Until you feel it throughout.

You were always without.

Lost
The colors blur,
A trail of auras
Without a home.
I thought I saw you
Somewhere in the crowd,
I was wrong.
But the floor rises to meet me
And the air escapes me,
Until all that’s left
Is a body and this pounding.

I could have walked away,
We saw the stains
And we spread them.
I could have lied,
We saw the pain
and we broke it.
I could have stood up,
We saw the chains
And we tightened them.
I could have died,
We saw the rain
And we drowned in it.

It’s not the memories
That cripple me,
It’s the fear of reliving them.
It’s not the pain
That breaks me down,
It’s the endless time to feel it.
It’s not the empty space,

Colorless Emotions
This post is simply to explain the series of posts that come next.
I wanted to post a series of short poems, poems that have no colors, no images, just words. Because sometimes… the feelings are so heavy, you see nothing but emotions and words and thoughts. And that’s what I’m showing here. So the graphics are in black and white. And the poetry is too emotional to paint any other way.
Even the quote graphics after will be in black and white. Because sometimes, nothing says more than anything else could.
